Wooded garden for a new complex of 42 housing units in Gif-sur-Yvette
The architectural design creates a vast open space at the center of the plot, of which only a small portion is in bare earth. The landscape project takes advantage of this feature with the idea of creating a garden-wood that varies according to the underlying soil: in bare earth, the leveling forms depressions to retain and infiltrate rainwater from the plot; on a slab, the earth modeling creates mounds that allow for an increase in soil height to plant high-stemmed trees.
