Covered porch and terrace in Brittany
The goal is to connect two residential buildings and create a new outdoor living space. The project also aims to open the courtyard to the landscape: to the garden at the back and its extension, which includes the fields and, further away, the woods. The “covered area” adopts the system of a double-pitched roof, which is multiplied here to suit the scale of the space. The difference in orientation of the two houses is addressed by the geometric feature that four spans on one side equal three on the other
