The competition initially focused on two sites in the village of Treffieux, which resonate with the issues they raise: one is an abandoned housing development (the lots have not found buyers); the other is the disused old post office (an old building that no one wishes to renovate). Only the site of the former post office has seen further developments, for which we proposed to add the neighboring plot: a disused farmhouse as well. The landscape project involves creating a small public garden that unifies the two plots. It is currently a beautiful meadow, punctuated by two remarkable oaks and some typical country palisades. We intervene minimally: access paths, a few shared garden spaces for the new residents, a petanque court, and a bench.
